According to reports, Sheezan Khan, the primary suspect in the killing of co-star and ex-girlfriend Tunisha Sharma, has applied to the Vasai court in Maharashtra for a directive ordering the police to release his passport, which was previously taken during the ongoing case's investigation. On Tuesday, May 2, the Vasai court will hear Sheezan Khan's plea. According to ANI, Sheezan said in his application that he needs to go overseas for shots and would require his passport.
The reality programme Khatron Ke Khiladi, which features stunts, has offered to cast the actor after he was granted bail. The Vasai Sessions Court's decision to grant him permission when the case is up for hearing will determine whether he may go overseas for the concert.
When Tunisha's mother heard that Sheezan was being courted for Khatron Ke Khiladi, she said, “We will reject Sheezan's plea to release his passport today. Sheezan reportedly received offers for reality series like Khatron Ke Khiladi. By providing a chance to someone who is now being tried for a major offence under section 306 of the IPC and against whom the police have filed a 524-page charge sheet, what message are channels trying to convey to society? Unke jaise banne ki koshish karte hain. Log TV par apne favourite actors ko dekhkar unko apna idol bana lete hain. I beg TV producers and outlets to refrain from exalting someone whose innocence has not been established.
Sheezan, meantime, was detained by authorities after being taken into custody in December of last year and was later freed on bail from Thane Central Jail on March 5. Sheezan's bail was issued by the Vasai Court with a Rs 1 lakh surety bond, and the court also required the actor to provide his passport.
Sheezan was charged in a 524-page chargesheet by Waliv Police in the suicide case of the actress, age 21, in Vasai. Furthermore, Sheezan's family asserted that Tunisha was like “family” to them and that the late actor's mother had wrongly implicated him in the case.
'Ali Baba Dastaan-E-Kabul' co-star Tunisha, who was allegedly discovered hanging at a TV series set a week after the pair broke up and ended their months-long romance, was apparently dating Sheezan. Sheezan was detained on suspicion of “Abetting Suicide” only hours after the actress passed away.
