Khan, who gained popularity for his role in the TV series “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai,” is about to make his streaming debut with Lalit Mohan’s musical love drama “Jab Mila Tu.”

Khan spoke candidly about the roller coaster of emotions he is experiencing as he enters the realm of OTT in a chat. The actor expressed a range of feelings, from joy to worry, anxiety, and even a hint of dread. He also recognized the importance of this new endeavor and confessed that it hasn’t yet hit him that this is his OTT debut.

“I’m happy that I’ve finally made my OTT debut, but I don’t think I’ve synchronized in this fact yet, and it will only happen once the show is out,” he confirmed.

Khan was eager to stress, however, how much he still loved and respected the television format that brought him national attention. He made the moving statement, “TV is the reason why we’re here,” in an ode to the medium. It is a lovely medium that is available in every home. I visit the tiniest town imaginable. Our programs extend up to that point. They treat us with such love and respect that it is beyond compare.

Speaking on the different television and over-the-top (OTT) environments, Khan emphasized the distinct benefits that each platform offers. The actor remained reverent toward television even as he acknowledged the benefits of over-the-top (OTT) content delivery, including less restriction and more creative freedom.

“OTT offers benefits like more freedom and less restriction, of course. The problem is that there are a plethora of tales and characters, and there are certain methods to depict different characters, and they will always be there. Whether it’s theater, television, or movies,” he said, highlighting the variety of narrative opportunities that exist across many media.

Mohsin Khan’s thoughts, as he gets ready to start this new digital adventure, capture a philosophical viewpoint on how television and over-the-top (OTT) media coexist, each adding its own special flavor to the complex tapestry of entertainment.
